At St. Dominics Outreach we are always in need of volunteers.

And as we grow the need becomes greater and greater. 

​

Folding and Sorting. 

Feeding and clothing over 400 people a month takes a lot of work. When on the streets it is very important to be organized in order to serve as many people as possible. Folding and sorting meets every other Monday all year long. Here we sort all of our donations and label them for the street outreach.

 

St. Dominics Kitchen Of Hope.

On the third Wednesday of the month we open the doors of St. Dominic's to feed and clothe those in need. On this special night we serve dinner on real plate not paper, we use real cups not plastic, we use real utensils not disposable. We serve home cooked meals made with love. While this sounds like nothing this night takes a team of 12 people minimum to pull off. We are always looking for another eager volunteer to help us out. Not something that sounds fun? It also takes a lot of funds to feed 75 people and supply Metro Cards for them, maybe a donation is something your interested in giving. We are always short on funds to.

Operating cost

Like everything else there are many different cost that go into an Outreach program like ours and being a church based program we depend on the generosity of parishioners and friends to keep us going. Perhaps you're not comfortable doing an outreach and going out late at night but still want to help. Below is the average cost of each event that we do. Maybe you can sponsor one?
